I am too lazy to write five posts on one series so this will be condensed into one.
Number of books: 5
Summary: Percy Jackson is a teenager living in New York with his mom. Problem is, he keeps getting kicked out of school. He finally finds one where everything is normal and has a great friend named Grover. Everything is going pretty well until one of his teachers turns into a harpy and attacks him. Yup. You heard me. A harpy. Turns out Percy is a demi-god. This means that he is half god and half human. That's awesome. So he goes to a camp to help him train to control his powers and find out who his dad is, which is Poseidon. I am telling you because its not essential to the story line. He meets a girl named Annabeth, who is the daughter of Athena and Grover turns out to be a satyr and his teacher is a centaur. Fun. He battles monsters as the evil Kronos tries to rise to power. He also has to complete all these prophesies, with one being the big one that a kid of the big three (Hades, Zeus and Poseidon) will determine the course of the world.
Thoughts: So. Frickin. GOOOOOOOOOD. Omg omg omg. I absolutely looooove books with greek mythology incorporated into it. Its sooooo good. There is fighting, comedy, little bit of rrrromance and above all, awesome story line. Its an amazing series and I am so happy Rick Riordan is doing another Camp Half Blood series.

goddess boot camp
I don't know if you noticed this, but the author seems to not like uppercase...
Summary: YAAAAY SEQUEL... Phoebe is back. Unfortunately, she has absolutely has no control over her powers. This is bad as the gods have prepared a test for her. She must pass it or will suffer greately. So, while her parents are on their honeymoon, she gets enrolled in "goddess boot camp" which is funny cause it mainly consists of ten year olds. In the meantime, she has to struggle in her effots to win a big race and be on a track team and trains with her boyfriend Grifffin. However of course problems arise when Griffin is lying to her and having secrets meetings with his ex-girlfriend Adara and she gets emails from a mysterious sender egging her on to see what really happened to her dad.
Thoughts: Fun. Again. Yay. Not much is different. Still a decent book but Phoebe pisses me off a little bit. Same humor altough sometimes it feels as if the author is forcing it. Even so, still a decent read. I just don't know what else the author could write on this topic.

oh.my.gods.
Summary: A book by Tera Lynn Childs. A girl gets dragged out of her running life and California life style and gets taken to Greece by her mom and her new Step-dad. In typical fashion, she sees a hot guy, he has a mean girlfriend blah blah blah. The twist in this book is that the school is full of people with Greek God heritage. Yup. For example the hot kid Griffin is a descendent of Ares and a little something special. Her new step-sister Stella and her step-dad Damien are from Hera. She learns her powers, tries to get the guy and do well in track.
Thoughts: Typical. Teen. Book. Almost nothing is different. Is it funny? Funny than most. Does the girl have sass? Rightly so. The only thing that sets it apart from other books is the mythical incorporation into it, which is not as much as you think. It is a decent read if you are bored and need something to read that is a little different from the typical teen romance books. However, don't expect an award winning story. Did I like it? Ya it was decent. So go ahead and try it for yourself.

Inheritance Cycle: Eldest
Summary: Second book in the Inheritance Cycle formerly known as a trilogy until Paolini couldn't fit it all in three books. This time Eragon faces new troubles such as his crippling back and finds the secret identity of The Cripple Who is Whole. He finds a new foe that is stronger and harder to beat that he has faced before. Coupled in with this, is chapters of what happened to the girl that Eragon blessed and his cousin Roran's activities with the townsfolk since Eragon left.
Thoughts: EVEN BETTER. I absolutely loved this one with the elven practices and the special twist he finds there (can't tell you, read the book). The thing that annoyed me was the chapters that weren't about Eragon.I really didn't care about the townsfolk but it was necessary in the story. I loved the stronger bond that developed between Saphira (who I absolutely love) and Eragon. Yet again a great book.

The Inheritance Cycle: Eragon
Christopher Paolini has started a series of books that has not been matched by any author in this specific genre. Of course I think each book develops its own kind of genre.
Summary: A farmer named Eragon finds a forbidden dragon egg in the feared forest called the Spine. Soon after, mysterious beings threaten his town and his only family consisting of his cousin Roran and his uncle Garrow. Eragon leaves with his dragon and one of the story tellers named Brom to escape the wrath of the evil reign of King Galbatorix who killed many of the Riders in his conquest to seize power.
Thoughts: READ. IT. NOW. It's amazing. There is action, dry comedy and everything that a fantasy lover dreams of. The adventures that Eragon goes through make a chill go down my spine. His blue dragon Saphira is super funny with her witty remarks at Eragon. MUST READ SERIES. The fourth one comes out later this year and I reread this one to reaquaint myself with the story line.
